Lanvin, one of Paris Fashion Week’s biggest shows, began bright and early Thursday morning at the L’ecole Nationale Superior des Beaux Arts.
Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz’s new aesthetic presented in his SS13 collection received a warm welcome by the star filled front row.
Front row attendees Kristin Scott Thomas, Catherine Deneuve, James Goldstein and Barneys New York’s Danielle Vitale had some of the best seats in the house to watch the masculine structured frocks come down the runway.
Elbaz took a masculine approach to his SS13 collection incorporating inspiration from the ‘Le Smoking’ jacket 80s structured shoulders, and adding a flair of Japanese influence. The Lanvin SS13 collection contained classic tuxedo-focused silhouettes mixed with a modern aesthetic allowing for a contemporary take on the classic Lanvin dress.
