The unthinkable has just happened. Your Christmas shopping list will change. Your boyfriend will finally enjoy shopping. Romantic strolls will no longer have to be through Hyde Park.
That’s right! Selfridges has opened the largest men’s shoe department in the world, nearly doubling its initial size!
On November 6th the mega department store revealed its new 15,000 square foot space filled with Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford, McQ, Kenzo and Burberry foot candy from ceiling to floor.
The new space, designed by Belgian architect Vincent van Duysen, was created to house a stockpile of 72,000 pairs of 3,200 styles from 
250 different brands. Footwear wizard Kurt Geiger was brought in to oversee and edit the collections of dress and casual styles from the most iconic fashion brands in the world. The department will carry 80 new brands to Selfridges including Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Oliver Spencer, Damir Doma, Opening Ceremony and Visvim among others.
But wait, there’s more.
The newly launched department has all styles from Kenzo, Dr. Martens, Versace, Lanvin, Tods and McQ that have been exclusively made for Selfridges. Not to mention a capsule collection by The Generic Man.
A dedicated space for pop-up shops, exclusive collaborations, customisation services, trunk shows and unique retails initiatives such as “buy from the runway” concepts, will ensure the offering is ever-evolving.
In a world-first, Christian Louboutin’s men’s collection will be hosted in a beautiful dedicated boutique, due to open in February 2012.
Two salons are another addition to the department. One for their world famous driving shoe selection and the other for made-to-order shoes by brands like Ferragamo and Prada.
From the leather carpet to the free shoe polishing, the new Selfridges men’s shoe department has changed the game and will be the ultimate luxurious outing for you and your man.
