Rihanna will be presenting her first-ever collection with River Island at London Fashion Week on February 16th.
The campaign, starring British model Jourdan Dunn, was shot by legendary photographer Mario Sorrenti and directed by Rihanna herself. The highly-anticipated collaboration will be hitting stores on March 5th.
“Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me,” the singer explains to the British Fashion Council. “I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!”
Rihanna gave us a sneak peek of her designs when she was photographed wearing a blue jumpsuit which will be featured in the capsule collection. She also tweeted behind-the-scenes pictures of the campaign photo-shoot.
The international superstar is known to love fashion. For years, she has been a trendsetter and trailblazer in the industry. The 24-year-old is set to produce and star in Styled To Rock, teaming with Style Network. The hour-long, 10 episode series is scheduled to premiere this year. For Rihanna, 2013 is bound to be filled with success.
