The music world was tuned in on old blighty as the 33rd BRIT Award ceremony went down in show-stopping style on Wednesday, Feb 20th.
With a huge range of international guest presenters, guests, nominees and award winners, the BRIT Awards, as always, was jam-packed with celebs. All eyes were on the stage, as well as the red-carpet, with fashion and music fans excited for the ceremony.
This year, Ben Howard and Emeli Sandé came up trumps, winning 2 gongs each. Emeli Sandé won both the British Female Solo Artist and Mastercard British Album of the Year, whilst Ben Howard triumphed in the British Breakthrough Act and the British Male Solo Artist categories.
Looking suave in his suit, James Corden made a great presenter, but our male choice of the night was certainly Justin Timberlake. His hotly anticipated performance turned out to be a great spectacle, igniting the flames of excitement for his latest album, following his 6 year break from music.
Taylor Swift was also the talk of the town, with an incredibly sultry performance of hit I Knew You Were Trouble, which saw her change from an angelic white gown into a devilishly hot black one-piece. Pre-performance, Ms Swift also wowed the crowds as one of the guest presenters, in a black Elie Saab maxi dress, complete with sheer panels and a gold, metal belt.
Model of the moment Jourdan Dunn struck a pose on the red carpet in a stunning embroidered, embellished, lime-green Balmain mini-dress. Another style favourite, as always, was fashion-muse Alexa Chung, who once again exuded effortless cool in an ivory Valentino embroidered set; a strap cami with matching shorts. It was humbling to see Mitch Winehouse pay homage to his daughter, the late singing legend Amy Winehouse, with a photographic print of her face on the back of her jacket.
With the BRIT Awards all wrapped up this year, we can definitely say that it was a great show, and we can’t wait for next year!
