Eva Longoria celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds
“The beauty of fragrance is that it speaks to your heart… and hopefully someone else’s.” – Elizabeth Taylor
There will never be another Elizabeth Taylor. The beauty, the talent, the glamour, the amazing heart and the list goes on. Though we don’t have her anymore, we are lucky enough to still have her wonderful perfumes. Her signature scent, White Diamond (you all remember those commercials), just celebrated its 25th anniversary. To celebrate the special occasion and special lady, Elizabeth Arden has released a new perfume called White Diamonds Night. At an event for the new scent at The Glasshouses in New York City hosted by actress Eva Longoria, Scott Beattie, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Arden said, “Elizabeth Taylor was a true visionary. She launched a successful fragrance empire at a time when celebrity fragrance were rare. It was because of this extraordinary foresight that Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds is one of the most successful franchises of all time with over $ 1.5. billion dollars in sales and counting.”
“Diamonds are rare and precious jewel as was Ms. Taylor,” said Longoria. “She exuded confidence and radiance in everything she did from her contributions to film, to her extraordinary work with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation to her successful fragrances. She is one to admire.”
According to the company, “Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds Night captures the enchanting appeal of the evening and the alluring radiance of the diamonds that Elizabeth Taylor loved. The fragrance imbues the wearer with sparkle and an aurora of intrigue, creating a new and distinctly modern dimension of mystery and seduction.”
As part of Elizabeth Taylor’s passionate commitment and fearless leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS, she directed that a portion of her royalties from White Diamonds and her other House of Taylor fragrances go to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
