We all want to make our house a home, and what better way to do so than with quirky cushions, throws and accessories? At the YCB office we’re forever scrolling through Pinterest for interior design inspiration! We’re always scouting out unique home decor that can add a stylish touch to our homes.
One of our favourite online homeware destinations at the moment is The Elephant Stamp. If you’re not quite familiar with The Elephant Stamp yet then let us introduce you! Based in London, the online boutique offers gorgeous homewares from a variety of makers from across the globe. The Elephant Stamp partner with a fabulous collection of independent designers from India to Mexico! The result of this is a stunning offering of quirky travel inspired pieces, colourful embroidery and statement homeware you simply *need*.
One of the designers that particularly caught our eye was Safomasi, for fun and quirky prints that add a bold statement to your interiors. A Delhi-based award winning designer, the brand was founded by Sarah Fotheringham and each piece in the collection certainly has a story to tell! Inspired by travels to Kerala’s backwaters and Pushkar’s Camel fair, as well as Sarah’s childhood vacations to Salcombe in Devon.
Sarah’s stunning illustrations are all hand screened printed onto cushions, blankets and table linen too, working closely with local artisans to stitch the cushions and hand quilt the beautiful blankets! If you’re looking to add a quirky touch to a chair or sofa then one of Sarah’s cushions will definitely do just this.
One of our favourite designs is the interesting camel cushion, a lovely print which combines neutral tones with a pop of pink! We adore the tassels that just add that extra stylish touch.
We’ve also been loving this totally unique coconut pickers cushion in a shade of vibrant mint green. It will definitely add an element of fun to your home! Available in two different sizes, we can definitely picture this cushion taking centre place on any sofa.
Now that Autumn is just around the corner, how about something to snuggle up into? This stunning coral fringe throw by Roos Soetekouw offers a stylish marble pattern and will add a subtle splash of colour to your bedroom or living room. Roos, a textile designer based in Amsterdam, offers careful detailing with designs reflecting her curiosity for life and her ability to look at it from a unique perspective. We love Roos’s fabulous designs and this ice blue fringe cushion is another firm favourite of ours!
