Olivia Palermo has collaborated with Coast and we like what we see!
The moment Olivia Palermo first graced our screens in The City, we knew she was one stylish lady to watch. From New York socialite to global style icon and spotted every season at LFW, she has cemented her status is in the same fashion leagues as consistent YCB favourites Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Diane Kruger. Olivia is always at the top of best dressed lists and is one of our favourite style icons here at YCB, so when it was announced that she was collaborating with Coast for their Autumn/Winter16 collection, we knew it was something to look out for.
As one of the most universally loved fashion It Girls of the 21st century, essentially a real life combination of Blair Waldorf and Serena VDW, Olivia Palermo is an obvious choice for a chic high street collaboration. Her favourite designer is Oscar de la Renta, which you can see in this beautiful collection. She worked closely with the Coast design team to choose pieces which would create a collection that appealed to everyone! We can only speak for ourselves but we love it all!
When asked about the design process, Olivia said: “Coast definitely brings something unique to the high street. They believe that dressing up is fun and I can certainly relate to this, teaming up with them for the Autumn/winter collection was a really enjoyable experience.”
The collection has a mass appeal as it encompasses both evening wear and more casual pieces. All incredibly chic, no surprises there, you can find leopard print, embellished jumpers, herringbone separates and faux fur elements in the collection. All perfect for a fashionable fall!
Olivia not only helped design the collection but also added pieces of her wardrobe to the visual campaign: “I incorporated bold metallic colours and some luxurious textures such as velvet and jacquard, then added statement shoes from my closet to give it a personal touch.”
Olivia is clearly one of our fashion favourites, and also wanted to create a collection which made women feel great about themselves which we can always get behind. She said: “When I curated the collection we agreed that it’s important for every woman to feel confident and beautiful.”
