7 Ways To Unwind After Work
Your boss is being a pain, you didn’t get to half the emails you wanted to and you are so not getting that promotion anytime soon. You have technically left the office at the end of the day but your mind hasn’t. And though you are exhausted you still have a lot of pent up energy you have to do something with.
Here are a few tips on how to unwind after work.
1. Digitally Disconnect
If you aren’t putting your job in jeopardy, then try to really leave work at the office and that means not checking your email. Even if it is just for a few hours, try to do a solid disconnect.
2. Exercise
Whether it is running, spinning or yoga, exercise of some sort is a great way to unwind. Yoga in particular will help you focus more in general. It can make you mindful about creating time for other passions you want to pursue outside of work.
3. Have a drink
There is a reason there are daily happy hour specials at basically every bar in the world. A great way to unwind is to kick back with some friends and a cold brew or glass of wine. And having a drink on your couch at home also works.
4. Use your commute well
Your commute doesn’t have to be a terrible thing. If you have a commute buddy, have a conversation that has nothing to do with work. Read a book. Listen to music. Just zone out (but try not to miss your stop)!
5. Draw a bath
It’s true. Television characters aren’t the only people who do this! But a calm, soothing bath is the perfect way to unwind after a long, stressful day. Now, go buy some essential oils and get your bubble bath on!
6. Play casino games
You can entertain yourself and de-stress with 7Sultans casino games. While some people might find online casino games stressful to play, other people will find them relaxing and as a way to unwid and have some ‘me time’. What’s interesting too is that these games can actually be both stressful and entertaining, indicating that they are stressful in a positive way! People often love the adrenaline surge associated with them.
7. Put on different clothes
It’s true. Putting on sweatpants actually helps you unwind. Or maybe it is just a pair of jeans. We spend all day buttoned up and pencil skirted in and don’t even get me started on pantyhose.
