How to Chase Year-Round Sun on a Holiday to Spain in 2020 or 2021

While the summer season may be drawing to a close, it’s still not too late to book a fantastic 2020 or 2021 holiday to Spain. When you visit the Costa del Sol not only will you enjoy a well-earned break, but you will also enjoy Costa del Sol’s lively culture, sun-drenched beaches, delicious cuisine, and activities aplenty to keep everyone in the family entertained. Couple all of this with just a short flight from the UK and what’s not to love? Here’s what you need to know about enjoying a holiday to Spain.

The Costa del Sol season

There’s no shortage of sunshine when you holiday in Spain! When you book a Costa del Sol holiday, you will enjoy warm sun-drenched days no matter what time you choose to visit.

The most popular times to enjoy a holiday to Spain are during June, July, and August, however this is also when you’ll encounter the most fellow travelers. For a more relaxed experience, September, October, and November are beautiful months to visit and are often less busy – ideal if you are thinking of booking a quieter holiday to Spain. The weather is still gorgeous, and you’ll often find things are a little less expensive than during the peak season.

Of course, winter is a fabulous time to visit too – allowing visitors from the UK an opportunity to enjoy plenty of sunshine! While temperatures aren’t at their peak, visitors are guaranteed to experience warmer and sunnier days than back in the UK, and they will also encounter far fewer crowds than at any other time of the year.

Another popular time to visit is during the Costa del Sol’s mid-season, which runs from March until May. These months offer visitors a more relaxed vibe with balmy sun-filled days. It also offers the ideal Easter break – a perfect option for a 2021 holiday to Spain that’s not too far away!

Remember, there is no “best” time to visit the Costa del Sol, as it all comes down to personal preferences.

While Spain’s Costa del Sol is open to visitors, COVID-19 has resulted in fewer visitors than usual,  meaning that tourists can expect a more relaxed holiday, with fewer crowds, and some fantastic deals to be had in both 2020 and 2021.

If you’re considering a holiday to Spain in 2020 the Autumn and Winter months offer the perfect location to get some of that much-craved winter sun.
