Dress for Success Greater London Announces Partnership with SmileDirectClub to Help Boost Women’s Confidence

Research has shown time and again that having a beautiful smile is not only linked to self-confidence but can also increase general happiness. In a survey of 2,000 UK adults, SmileDirectClub found 71% would smile more if they liked their teeth, and over half of respondents (52%) said not liking their smile affected their overall confidence levels.

Dress for Success Greater London is delighted to announce it has partnered with the international teledentistry platform SmileDirectClub to work with a group of women who want to improve their teeth and start smiling confidently.

To mark this partnership, SmileDirectClub is giving free treatments to the group and complementing the work of Dress for Success Greater London which empowers women into the workplace from positions of disadvantage by providing professional clothing and styling, interview coaching and ongoing support.

As part of the dental treatment, clear aligners will be used in a process mapped out by a UK registered dentist or orthodontist. Each case is assessed individually but in most cases, treatment takes an average of 4-6 months. It usually costs around £1,539 – up to 60% less than traditional braces.

Both partners will be charting the women’s journeys through their treatment plan from beginning to end which is expected to finish in October, ahead of World Smile Day.

Fionnuala Shannon, Executive Director at Dress for Success Greater London, said: “Our mission to assist women in building self-worth and enabling them to succeed in employment is built upon the foundation of improving their self-confidence.

“We’re very excited to be working with SmileDirectClub over the next few months and value their support as we continue to help more than 1,000 women each year and have a 80% success rate of women gaining employment.”

David Cran, VP International, SmileDirectClub, said: “At SmileDirectClub, we know how important a smile can be because of the feedback from many of our customers. They have told us their confidence and self-esteem has been boosted by our clear aligner therapy so we are very pleased to be working with Dress for Success Greater London and can together shine a light on the transformational power of a smile.”
