Veganaury at Arapina Bakery: London’s Largest Vegan Production of Artisan Products in Greenwich

January 15, 2023

Currently hot on our radar, Arapina is a cosy vegan and vegetarian bakery, based in Greenwich and East Dulwich, South London. The bakery saw a huge increase in demand for locally baked healthy food during the pandemic years.

In 2023 they are celebrating their 10th birthday and expanding their operation in Greenwich to make it the largest vegan production unit in London.

In what has been a difficult time in the hospitality sector, it is a pleasure to report a food business that is successfully growing to keep up with the demand from people caring about what they consume.

With Veganuary in full swing, Arapina is the leading company in producing artisan baked goods to meet a wide range of diets – Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Sugar free, supplying individuals, and a growing national wholesale market, including Fullers pubs.

To meet the increased demand, Arapina are keen to take on more staff from their local community, to cover a number of roles from chefs, customer service, packing, and drivers.

Michaela Pontiki, founder and CEO told YCB: “I am so happy to be able to serve our wonderful community, who have supported us through these difficult times, and I’m very keen to help employ local people to help with our expansion.”

Every month is Veganuary at Arapina!
