With Easter just around the corner, it’s time to ring the joys of spring into your homes with some bright and beautiful decorations. So if you’re hosting a spring brunch, an Easter egg hunt for the kids, or a formal sit-down family dinner, you might be searching for some decoration inspiration.

Jess Martin, decoration expert at Ginger Ray has teamed up with event stylist Claudia Collins from Down to a T to share their top tips for creating 5 of the biggest Easter decoration trends this year.
Mini egg madness
Our love for the iconic chocolate eggs is going nowhere fast, #minieggseason has over 7M views on TikTok. Not only is the tasty treat making an appearance in a multitude of Easter bakes but their pretty, pastel patterns are making their way into our Spring decor too.
Jess suggests: “Try making an easter tree out of some branches and hanging some decorative eggs on it. Or, add the subtle pattern in the form of speckled ceramics and tablecloths.”
Claudia says: “Pastel colours work beautifully when paired with soft whites and neutrals. To bring the pastels back into your tablescape you can add candles, confetti, or ribbons. Try using the same pastel tones throughout and mirror your placement on either side, this will help to keep your table balanced.”
Mossy centrepieces
#mossdecoration has over 93.1k views on TikTok and for spring they are taking centre stage of our tablescapes. Whether you incorporate moss into a floral display or make the springy plants the centre of attention, the vibrant green colours and texture add a fresh touch to any tablescape.
Jess adds: “You can find moss growing in most damp environments so all you need to do is collect some, add it to a bowl then finish with some bunnies or easter eggs- a few flowers would also look great. Just remember to keep the centrepiece lower level and natural looking to nail the trend.”
Claudia shares some top tips: “This super simple and affordable centrepiece can be easily achieved with just a storage divider, water, faux flowers or freshly picked stems and sellotape. Create a grid at the top of your container using some sellotape and then poke the stems into each gap until completely covered. It’s super effective and great when paired alongside moss and some bunnies.”
Statement napkins
The art of napkin folding is taking off on TikTok with #napkinart boasting over 7.2k views. Whether you opt for a pastel patterned napkin or some bunny-eared folding, expect to see tablescapes pimped up with lovely fabrics this season.
Claudia says: “When thinking about napkins, choose a base colour that complements the rest of your table linen. Adding pretty spring colours, patterns or florals can be a simple yet effective way to elevate your tablescape. Want to do something a little special this Easter? Why not make a statement with these gorgeous bunny-eared napkins? A full tutorial is now available to watch over on @downtoatuk.”
Jess adds: “If the thought of folding napkins into intricate shapes seems intimidating, try adding some fun napkin holders in playful shapes. Make your napkins more of a place-setting by tying up some cutlery and a nametag with the napkin, just add a pretty ribbon or napkin ring to secure.”
Daisy crazy
Obsessed with Daisy Jones and the Six? So are we! The hashtag #70sdecor has over 19 million views on TikTok confirming that 70’s style is in and with that comes bold floral patterns. Expect to see playful daisy prints in sunshine yellow tones making an appearance this Easter.
Claudia says: “Daisies are so pretty this season so why not display them in some bud vases, if using faux stems add water for a realistic effect. Jam jars, empty candle pots, wine bottles or even reed diffusers can be upcycled with spray paint or ribbon. If you are someone who might struggle with placement try using a table runner, this can help map out an area for you to work with.”
Jess suggests: “Daisy patterns are also big this season so bring them into your spring decoration with some boldly printed tablecloths, napkins and garlands. Go even bigger by creating a showstopping centrepiece with a daisy balloon arch.”
Spring wreaths
Proving popular last year, spring wreaths are back and better than ever. Over 7 million people are looking for #springwreath inspiration over on TikTok.
Claudia said: “Whether you have a new wreath or you’re pulling out last year’s, freshen it up by adding a few extra decorative touches such as eggs, floral stems, foliage or feathers. Simply attach together using floristry wire. This will help to hold everything together while also allowing add-ons to blend in seamlessly.”
Jess adds: “Make a statement with a floral wreath made up of just one bloom or combine some seasonal flowers with some foliage for a colourful, mixed display. Both look gorgeous and will create the perfect welcoming entrance to any door. Or, use a wreath as a gorgeous table centrepiece. A wreath will fit perfectly around a vase or a bowl of flowers or decorations.”
