From Andy Murray’s girl Kim Sears, to the future Queen of England, Kate Middleton; celebrities are always flashing their perfectly groomed, long hair, and it’s safe to say that gorgeous long hair will never go out of fashion!
While we don’t know what Kate’s secret is (we wish we did!), we have found a few tips to help you keep your hair shiny, healthy and long:
Drink lots of water and eat healthily: In the same way that your skin and nails benefit from a healthy diet and lots of water, so does your hair. The vitamins in fruit and veg will keep your hair strong, meaning it will grow longer.
Get regular hair cuts: The older your hair gets, the drier, and more prone to split ends it becomes. Keep your hair looking in great condition by getting regular trims.
Never brush your hair when it’s wet: Hair becomes very weak when wet. To avoid breaking it, comb it through with a wide toothed comb instead of a brush.
Minimise your use of heat styling: Straighteners, curlers and even hair dryers can cause real damage to your hair by drying it out. Avoid styling your hair every day and try and leave it natural when possible.
Don’t wash your hair every day: Washing your hair every day can strip your hair of its natural oils, leaving it dry and damaged. It is recommended that you wash your hair every other day to leave it as nourished as possible.
