The beauty world is buzzing with top trends for Fall 2013, with Fashion Week fully underway in New York City…
With deep purple lips and impressive brows comes effortless, chic hair and for this we applaud our new fave go-to hair label BANGSTYLE. The brand was backstage for the BELLAVANCE presentation at Milk Studio’s MADE for Peroni Fashion Week, a much-anticipated showing from the MADE for Peroni Young Designer Award Winner Nolan Bellavance, and his partner Ava Hama.
Celebrity and editorial stylist Wesley O’Meara wanted to create a very wearable look for the BELLAVANCE Fall 2013 presentation that compliments the “modern luxury with a hint of sportswear” collection. Leading a team of stylists backstage, Wesley used BANGSTYLE products to achieve the look:
“I wanted to make it look like the girl was active and running around all day, but really find a texture that was simple and undone, and could be thrown back into a chignon and easily turn into a sophisticated look.
I used the girls’ natural texture as a base and simply spritzed the hair with the BANGSTYLE Light Sea Salt Mist all over to enhance their natural texture and just let that air dry. Then, at the hairline, I applied a very liberal amount of the their Smoothing Lotion, to make the hair look almost wet. I added a drop of the BANGSTYLE Thickening Fiber Gel to the same place along the hairline for light hold. Mixing the two products keeps the gel from turning crunchy as gels tend to do, and also keeps the Smoothing Lotion from evaporating. The result is a beautiful shiny “wet” look without looking overly greasy. I clipped the hair out of the models faces and finished with a bit spray to help set the hair, and when the girls were dressed I removed the clips and let the hair fall naturally.”
Finally, a right-off-the-runway, effortless chic look that is easy to achieve at home (celebrity hairstylist not included…or necessary!). While we wait for Fall ’13 fashions, this is a look we can try right now.
