It has long been acknowledged that finding a salon that you love is akin to finding the Holy Grail so imagine our delight upon discovering The Chiswick Salon. With the warmer months finally emerging we decided it was time to refresh our barnets for spring; out with the old and in with the fabulous! No more split-ends, TY!
There’s something comfortingly familiar about returning to a salon time and time again, building a relationship and with so many homogenous chain salons creeping up all over our high streets it’s a delight to visit a place where the service extends beyond snipping off your damaged ends. Our visit to Chiswick salon on a sunny Saturday afternoon quickly established that the clientele of the salon are decidedly loyal, and it’s heartening to be somewhere where they remember your name and your know their name…and their moms. On the outskirts of London, it’s the perfect escape from a tourist filled central with all the expertise of the capitals most prestigious hairstylists.
The salon boasts a handpicked crack team of experienced stylists, who’ve cut their teeth working at some of the biggest names in hairdressing (including Charles Worthington & Toni & Guy) and are all really very charming. Rather than just plonking you in a chair and attacking you at whim with a pair of scissors or giving the standard, one size fits all cut, the Chiswick Salon team work with you to achieve your perfect style. Consultations take into account your face shape, colouring, hair type and most importantly your personality so rather than just settling for a cookie cutter style, they create one that works for you.
They offer a great menu, from cut and colour to specialist services such as the “Red Carpet Blow Dry” which uses expert setting techniques to give you a fabulous blow dry that will last all week (perfect if you have a week of important meetings, or you know, just want to look amazing) and the “Keratin Blow Dry” which uses the Nanokeratin System to give you super shiny, straight hair that lasts up to three months (bye-bye GHD’s and tear filled mornings trying to tame the frizz). Once your hair is looking its very best they’ll ensure the rest of you is every inch as fabulous, offering luxury Manicures and Pedicures amongst their services.
Always ones for going the extra mile, if you’re booked in for an appointment during your office lunch break they’ll even nip to the local deli and pick you up a delicious healthy lunch whilst you’re coiffed to perfection. With such a high level of attentiveness and service, it’s not hard to see why this local salon has rapidly achieved such a devoted client base, Your Coffee Break included. After having our hair whipped into a beautiful, spring ready do and our nails treated to a very beautiful manicure, we left with a serious bounce in not just our hair, but also in our step.
