These are the best hair and beauty hacks for looking younger:

1. Use coconut oil to minimise wrinkles

Coconut oil is used in a wide range of beauty products, mainly because its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It can also help to minimise wrinkles as it keeps your skin healthy and firm. A great way to apply this it to massage it into the skin until it absorbs completely. It is recommended to do this daily to help combat wrinkles.

2. Ditch the face powder

Using a thick, cakey powder to set makeup can magnify lines in the skin, which will make your wrinkles more defined. If you can’t give up powder, try switching to a translucent or mineral-based one.

3. Eat citrus fruits

Alpha hydroxy acids are best known for their skin-care abilities, and have the power to reduce wrinkles and fade age spots. Alpha-hydroxy acids are found in most expensive anti-aging creams and serums, but you can also find them in citrus fruits like lemons and grapefruits.

4. Make an anti-aging mask out of papaya

Papaya contains enzymes which work in a similar way to alpha hydroxy acid. They make your skin feel smoother, firmer and softer in appearance. To make a papaya face mask, simply mash a ripe papaya fruit into a paste and apply.  Leave on your face for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Do this once a week.

5. Fill in sparse brows

Eyebrows add symmetry to your face features, and as brow colour fades, filling in parts that have fairer hair is essential to looking younger. Choose a brow pencil or pomade that is two shades lighter than your eyebrow hair and sparsely fill your brows in.

6. Use onions to get rid of grey hairs

Some studies have found that you can use onion juice to reverse grey hair and treat thin hair. Simply blend one in a juicer or food presser and apply daily to your scalp, by massaging it in very gently. Leave in for about 40 minutes before washing out.

7. Don’t skip face primer

Primers are a base that helps to smooth skin and ensure makeup doesn’t budge, so don’t avoid using it. Always apply a little after moisturising, just before you apply your foundation.

8. Drink ginger tea

Ginger is a very versatile anti-aging herb that’s been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It also reduces inflammation, so it’s perfect to keep your skin glowing and healthy. Drink ginger tea twice a day or mix some grated ginger with a tablespoon of honey once every morning.

 9. Clean up your diet

Quit overeating the fatty foods and sugar and instead, opt for wholesome, healthy foods. Good fats like avocado, almonds and oily fish and colourful fruit and veg like broccoli, kale and blueberries are great food choices for keeping your skin looking and feeling younger.

10. Have a hairstyle that frames your face

One of the key things that could be making you look older is if you have a hairstyle that doesn’t suit your face. It’s important to choose a soft style that compliments your face structure and shape. Some good choices to go for would be a soft fringe, a wavy bob, a layered mid-length or a pixie crop.
