Resh Vadgama, Beauty Marketing Expert at Foundation, says: “Every year, the demand for beauty advent calendars gets stronger, which is evident by the increase in searches. If I remember correctly, it was fairly difficult to get hold of one of the top ones, such as Charlotte Tilbury, and many brands end up having to use waiting lists as the demand is so strong.
“It seems silly to be talking about advent calendars at the beginning of September, however, 54% of shoppers actually start their generic Christmas shopping prior to December, with many brands starting to release their advent calendars around now.
“Beauty advent calendars are a great way to promote products to people, and brands actually see a huge uplift in sales for the normal sized products after the Christmas period ends. It’ll be interesting to see how much searches increase for products included in the advent calendars in January!”
However, these advent calendars come at a price. The Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar is £160, although it offers £244 worth of products to its buyers.
Similarly, the MAC advent calendar is sold at £170, although offering £240 worth of products.
Beauty fanatics are being advised to get their hands on their favourites quickly to avoid disappointment.
