January 13, 2025

These are the 5 best countries to travel to for red light therapy, the popular treatment that targets the powerhouse of the cell

Investing in your health is one of the most important decisions you can make for your overall well-being. Amidst the diversity of wellness treatments that have become available today, red light therapy, a treatment that harnesses low-power red light to stimulate cellular growth, has seen a rise in popularity, and for good reason.

In 2025, global interest in red light therapy continues to grow as people prioritise innovative, science-backed approaches to health and wellness. The study discussed below highlights some of the best destinations worldwide for accessing high-quality, trustworthy treatments, but choosing the most suitable option for you will depend on individual circumstances and personal health goals.

“Not only can red light target common aesthetic concerns such as fine lines, spots, and scars, it also has powerful health and wellness benefits such as increased energy and better sleep,” says Scott Chaverri, founder and CEO of Mito Red Light, a company specialising in high-quality red light therapy devices.

For those seeking out red light therapy and its myriad of research-backed benefits, the team at Mito Red Light has conducted a study to reveal the destinations around the world to fly to for the best treatments.

The study

Mito Red Light analysed red light therapy services across countries using population data from Worldometer, clinic numbers and reviews from Google Maps, and treatment costs from sources such as Thervo.com and Block Blue Light. A weighted composite score, combining normalised clinic density (40%), cost (30%), and review ratings (30%), ranked countries based on accessibility, affordability, and quality of services.

If you’re considering red light therapy to address a specific health concern, I encourage you to dive deeper into the options available, research reputable providers, and consult with professionals so that what you come across aligns with your needs. Informed decisions are the foundation of effective, long-term wellness journeys.”
