When the former Suits star was working as an actress she had a side hustle and she even made some money from it. She was a freelance calligrapher and even taught calligraphy, gift-wrapping and book-binding at a Paper Source store in Beverley Hills in between auditions. “She hosted a group of customers and instructed them during a two-hour class on how to do calligraphy,” Winnie Park, the company’s CEO, informs PEOPLE. “She would have advised customers on projects — from wedding invitations to creating personalized stationery to gift-wrapping.”
Markle even had a few celebrity clients including Robin Thicke and then wife Paula Patton (she wrote their wedding invitations.) In an old interview Markle talked about her love of calligraphy as it is a lost art.
Though she won’t have much time for a side hustle now, when she was an actress working her way up the career ladder caligraphy was a great side gig.
