The flexibility of working from anywhere and hot desking is a tempting proposition.
Since April, ‘digital nomad’ searches have risen by 73%.
It’s so popular, in fact, that many countries are now offering visas for people to move there and work. But what jobs are people looking for?
Flexible workspace platform, Spacepool, analyzed Google search volumes to find the 30 most sought-after ‘digital nomad’ roles, from marketing to cyber security.
Using Ahrefs, they looked at phrases containing ‘remote’, ‘work from home’ and ‘work from anywhere’. Specific job titles were pulled and ranked based on the average number of global searches a month for the past 12 months.
On the results, Eugene Tavyev, CEO and Founder of Spacepool, said, “The remote working train has well and truly departed the station. There seems to be no slowing the trend.
This is no longer a pandemic-related shift – it’s here to stay. And there are whole generations of tech-savvy savants, who were bought up on smartphones and social media, leading the charge.”
