When you think of Isla Fisher it’s hard not to reminisce about her as Vince Vaughns quirky clingy girlfriend in the movie Wedding Crashers.
The enthusiastic Aussie is not only smart and beautiful, but she’s funny as hell!
As a mother of two and wife to Sasha Baron Cohen, along with recently starring in The Bachelorette, the beautiful 36 year-old has been taking part as a voice in recent animated films. Adult comedies and children’s animated movies? Yes, Isla does it all and we can’t get enough of this gorgeous red head.
Isla has accumulated a decent number of award nominations and wins during her time as a movie star, including consecutive Aussie TV Logie nominations, and an MTV Movie Award win. When it comes to children’s flicks, she is best known as Dr. Mary Lou Larue in “Horton Hears a Who?” and is back at it playing the Tooth Fairy in Dreamworks animated film “Rise of the Guardians” in theaters now.
With her new movie out, she also covered the December 2012 issue of InStyle Australia magazine. She looked absolutely stunning on the cover in a ruby lace embellished dress.
With the promotion of her new movie she’s been all dolled up at promotional interviews and on the red carpet. At the “Rise of the Guardians” premiere in the UK she rocked a Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress. Isla looked classic and stunning with her wavy updo, bright red lips and vintage old Hollywood attire.
As the girl of the moment she told Women’s Health U.K. that her secret to staying so fit is, drum roll please…”Breastfeeding – that’s my big slimming secret! That and Spanx. Anytime anyone compliments me on my figure, I’m wearing my Spanx undies.”
When she’s not playing the part as a voice in an animated film, she has the tendency to star in adult comedies that leave you laughing to the point of tears. She talks to InStyle about why she’s always on screen as the “extreme woman”: “I played a bipolar nymphomaniac in Wedding Crashers and now I’m playing a coke whore. I’m just trying to make my dad proud [laughs]. Truthfully, I’ve always enjoyed playing characters that are unusual people. There’s a bunch of actors who can play normal people better than I can. I enjoy it more when I can play someone who exists in a heightened reality, someone a little more wild.”
Along with making us laugh while looking fab, she is also married to one of Hollywoods most controversial actors. What does she say it’s
like being married to Cohen? She tells British newspaper the Sunday Mail, “My husband’s faux pas at social functions are really fabulous. Once, at the Golden Globes, he asked Cate Blanchett what she did for a living.”
Whether she’s making kids dreams come true in amazing animated films or playing the part of a stage five clinger, there’s no denying that with Isla there is never a dull moment.
