For W Magazine‘s “Brightest Stars” issue, a series of celebrities were photographed au natural by noted fashion photographer Juergen Teller.
Teller’s images are unconventional, emotionally intense, and completely raw. He is perhaps most known for his Marc Jacobs campaigns. For W magazine, he showcased his models in a refreshingly unstirred fashion, from Marion Cotillard to Kerry Washington, passing by Kristen Stewart and Javier Bardem.
For the cover photo, Emma Stone was immortalized in a wonderfully minimalistic way, with little makeup and little clothing. Still, the Gangster Squad star looks cool and edgy in the shot, which doesn’t come as a surprise. This photo shoot is truly great because there is no attempt to mock the celebrities or to seek out their flaws. Instead, the pictures shows unfiltered beauty and underlying strength. A success.
