Spotted: Celeb Style At Paris Fashion Week
The eagerly-awaited Paris Fashion Week kicked off this week, and not only were we buzzing with excitement at what some of the greatest fashion houses had to offer, we were also curious as to what some of the most exclusive celebrities would be wearing.
This was an event like no other. Unlike the rainbow of hues and the array of details, cuts and embellishment that we might
see at an award ceremony, it seemed as if the celebrity clan of PFW 2013 were sticking together in the fashion stakes. True to classic Parisian chic, stars stuck to black, and there were some rare glimpses of white and red, at most.
Teen American actress Chloe Moretz, and beauty Jessica Alba even wore the same shoes (!) – both sporting an elasticated court shoe for the Christian Dior Spring 2013 runway show. Despite this, we applaud the 15 year-old for getting it right at such a young age. Chloe dressed appropriately for her age, in a biker jacket with zip detailing and a skater skirt.
Jessica Alba exuded classic Hollywood glam, with a black fur coat, soft-red lips and a chic updo. The ‘birdcage’ veil was also a catching trend, worn by with a hair-bun and embellishments by Dita Von Teese, and also worn by Laetitia Casta. The French actress and face of L’Oréal is certainly one of our fave celebrities to look at, as the rest of her outfit dazzled the crowds at the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture show. The starlet arrived in an impeccable white tuxedo-jacket style dress, teamed with a black polo-neck, black heels and jacket, and a slick of bright red lipstick.
Actress Rosamund Pike also made an impression in cute, embellished ankle-boots, whilst Swedish actress Noomi Rapace wore a gorgeous and very unique long, leather coat-dress, cinched in with a waist belt and accessorised with long, leather gloves.
Our fashion star so far certainly has to be Diane Kruger, who made an appearance at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 show, in a dress straight off the runway. From the Spring 2013 collection, Kruger’s cute dress was a monochrome check pattern with a white, peter-pan collar. Kruger finished off her look with a black Chanel cross-body bag, black suede thigh-high boots, a black beret and a side-plait. It was a very youthful, nostalgic and playful look, but we think it worked amazingly. We can’t wait to see what’s yet to come from celebrity style at Paris Fashion Week.
