Last night, a number of celebrities attended the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The SAG awards exclusively honor actors, focusing both on individual performances and on the cast as a whole. Ben Affleck’s international thriller “Argo” received the top honor of best ensemble cast in a movie. The previous night, Affleck’s film had won the Producers Guild award. One can only imagine that Argo has now become a serious contender for the Oscars.
On the event’s red carpet, Anne Hathaway wore a stunning Giambattista Valli Couture black dress and peep-toe Jimmy Choo pumps. Hathaway won Supporting Female Actor award for her wonderful performance as Fantine in “Les Miserables”. This was 30-year-old Hathaway’s first SAG win.
“Scandal” actress Kerry Washington was seen wearing a gorgeous white beaded Rodarte dress on the red carpet. French actress Marion Cotillard was seen wearing a Christian Dior Pre-Autumn/Winter gown with a full blue skirt and a strapless white bodice. She completed her look with Dior heels and elegant Chopard jewelry. Nina Dobrev, best known for her role in “The Vampire Diaries,” stunned in a hot pink Elie Saab dress from his Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
