The 2013 Met Gala: Red Carpet Wrap-Up
The annual Met Gala took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York yesterday, May 6. The 2013 Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrated the opening of the “Punk: Chaos to Couture” exhibition.
The event was flooded with stars, all making the effort to stand out looking remarkable whilst paying homage to this year’s punk theme. This year, the red carpet was submerged with black – lots of it!
Sarah Jessica Parker and Madonna took our centre stage, both deserving the title of ‘Ultimate Show Stoppers’! SJP with her incredibly bodacious Giles Deacon dress, Philip Treacy punk couture hat and Louboutin boots… SJP definitely turned heads in that outfit!
Quite simply, no one does Madonna like Madonna! Sporting the punk look to the maximum, Madonna rocked up in chains and studded Givenchy outfit, ripped fishnet stockings and pink Casadei shoes and less we forget her jet black bob… We salute you Madonna!
