The annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala always draws a star studded crowd, and last week’s event was no exception. Falling during the Cannes Film Festival and celebrating its twentieth year, the Gala was the perfect showground for celeb fashionistas to flaunt. With a who’s-who of film and music royalty in attendance, Your Coffee Break favourite Olivia Palermo certainly got her style claws out.
Although we often covet Olivia’s looks, it is usually her timeless style and classic staples which we are coveting. In Cannes, however, Miss Palermo made a total fashion U-turn in this Cavalli number.
Ticking the cut-out trend box, this look also smacks of the animal print revival which is set to be big on catwalks for AW13.
While you could say that the thigh-high split is a little too Angelina, the side split maxi has already made its stamp on the beaches this summer. Here, Olivia softens this fierce look with dainty Sergio Rossi footwear and a loose plait.
Although designers are queuing up to dress The City star and boyfriend Johannes Huebl, both opted for Roberto’s signature look with Johannes wearing a crisp, Cavalli Tuxedo.
