Talk about the greatest news. Like a scene straight from a teen show fairytale, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester announced their engagement last week. After a year of dating, the adorable couple decided to take their relationship to the next level when Adam Brody popped the question.
For O.C. and Gossip Girl fans, this union is very exciting but many fans have been divided by a sense of nostalgia by the news. Blair and Chuck seemed like the perfect couple and Seth and Summer just oozed their own brand of kooky chemistry. Here at Your Coffee Break, we think Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf getting married just makes sense. It’s like they are united the East and West Coast.
Fans are already speculating about which luxury bridal designer will be chosen to dress Leighton. Will she wear Elie Saab like Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl or a vintage gown, similar to something Summer would have worn on the O.C.? We’re hoping will Leighton wear an edgier, modern gown befits her personal style? Regardless, it is safe to say that Leighton Meester will be one of the most stylish brides of the year!
The other question on everyone’s lips is also wondering who the bridesmaids and groomsmen will be. Will Blake Lively or Ed Westwick be a part of the wedding party? What about Mischa Barton or Benjamin MacKenzie? Unfortunately, Rachel Bilson will be unlikely to attend, having dated Adam for several years while filming the O.C.
