Emma Watson gets gutsy in Dior jean pants at Time 100 Gala New York
Emma Watson, the sweet and sophisticated women’s advocate, is up to it again, stunning us all in a simple yet interesting ensemble. Wearing a surprising twist on trousers that made stars even give her a double-take, she looked fresh and free in the complementary top and bottom. And, judging by her expression, she knows it.
Well played, Miss Watson. Well played.
In the 25-year-old’s quiet, quirky elegance, the British actress wore Dior effortlessly at the 2015 TIME 100 Gala in New York on Tuesday night. Watson is wearing a black cashmere and silk Dior top and grey Dior jeans pants, with a grey wool basque Dior belt. She is also wearing a Dior minaudiere in plexi printed with orange and blue flowers.
The British actress and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador steps out less than a week after her 25th birthday, which fans may recall her heartfelt message expressing her gratitude via Twitter (17.5 million followers at the time) to fans for their overwhelming amount of birthday best wishes.
Walking into the city’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, she struck a few poses with quiet confidence. The brunette, known for her classic choices, swept her envied tresses back from her face, showing off her bold red lipstick. The Harry Potter star showed off a pair of dangly earrings, a Eva Fehren wrist cuff, as well as the trendy perspex Rauwolf clutch.
The eye-catching, Dior ankle-grazers came complete with a high waistline that showed off her slim figure, adding just the right about of curvature with its voluminous skirt on one side.
So as to balance the pant centerpiece, Emma toned down the rest of her outfit, choosing a sleek black top and selecting its perfect match: Rupert Sanderson heels.
Other celebrities who joined Watson in attendance included Kim Kardashian, Martha Stewart and Karlie Kloss.
Looking at the child star now, it’s hard to believe the incredibly stylish transformation the Hollywood leading lady has accomplished. With poise, she’s managed to go from cute tween actress (starting on the red carpet at the tender age of 10) when she won the role of Hermione in the massive movie franchise Harry Potter to Ivy League and sultry woman at the front line of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
A wallflower, she is certainly not when it comes to her fashion sense. See? She’s such a good actress.
