Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney on spring fashion, beauty and why it’s still okay to wear Uggs
Monday nights just got a little bit tougher as the third season of Vanderpump Rules on Bravo wrapped up. In case you aren’t in the know, Vanderpump Rules is one of Bravo’s biggest hits. It is a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills centering on Lisa Vanderpump’s extremely good looking but unstable staff at her LA restaurant SUR. The show, known for its crazy fights and drama (as well as everyone sleeping with eachother) has become everyone’s favorite dirty pleasure (arguably even more so than RHOBH). And one of the best characters on the show is Katy Maloney who has gone from Stassi Schroeder sidekick to really becoming an independent, powerful woman in control of her life. We at YCB were lucky enough to talk the reality star who is still working at SUR as well as working on her beauty blog Pucker & Pout about fashion, makeup and even Stassi Schroeder.
What is your go to spring power outfit?
Spring is a different period to dress for. The weather fluctuates so much. However, I do believe in the power of introducing color back into my wardrobe. I habitually gravitate towards black and grey. I would say my go to outfit is my knee length spilt side yellow Zara skirt and a crop tank from Classy Brand and Zara embellished moccasins. I am currently obsessed with my Henri Bendel West 57th Train Case.
Any tips on taking an outfit from day to night?
A smart pair of pumps or ballets flats and leather jacket helps dress up a daytime outfit. If you hair needs dressing up trying a top knot or some hairspray for volume accompanied with flipping your head upside down and tousling with your fingers. Finally adding a bold red or bright lip is a great accessories.

Gwen Stefani is pure perfection!
What are your best spring makeup tips?
Begin to lighten your load. Rely on your concealer and tinted moisturizer that hopefully has some SPF. I like to use a tinted lip balm, gel eyeliner and waterproof mascara!
What are your plans for the summer?
Hopefully we will be filming a fourth season of Vanderpump Rules! Other than that I plan on getting a tan for the first time in three years!
Where do you get your style inspiration from?
I follow lots of fashion blogs such as We Wore What, Fashion Toast, Late Afternoon, Song of Style to name a few. Those women have impeccable style. I also love my girl Gwen!
What kind of jewelry do you usually wear?
I have been wearing a lot of simple pieces mostly designed by Kyle Chan. He creates some of the most elegant yet simple jewelry that I am so fond of. Stassis line it’s mostly statement necklaces that I have moved away from lately. Her and I have very different styles.
Is it still okay to wear Uggs sometimes?
I don’t care what anyone says. Those d***n shoes are so comfortable. I group up in Utah so I have have always worn them and am they are perfect for throwing on if you need to run an errand or walk the dog. However I stash them for the summer season.
