Baby on Board: Kim’s pregnancy debut stuns in classic Kimye fashion
Leave it to Kim K to rock a see-through with a baby bump…Yes, the Kardashian-Jenner clan is about to get even bigger because Kim is expecting her second child with her husband / rapper / the man who needs no introductions, Kanye West. Cue ‘South West’ baby name jokes!
The 34-year old star made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her baby news at the CFDA Awards, positively glowing in her daring dress. Kim gave us a sexy take on maternity style when she stepped out in a custom-made sheer long-sleeved dress by Proenza Schouler. The ensemble put her enviably ample assets on full display and also exposed her high-waisted briefs — it was definitely one of the sexiest looks of the night! The reality darling and Instagram queen— only a cool 34.8 million followers— stole the show in the edgy ensemble, which featured grommet detailing and fringe on the shoulders. Matching ankle-strap sandals rounded out the ensemble, and a ponytail and smoky eye polished off her look.
When asked about it, she replied in typical Kim fashion: ‘I wanted something comfortable’. Maybe it’s just us, but when we want to be comfortable we picture a pair of Lululemon leggings and an oversized hoodie…!
Perhaps Kim wanted to squeeze in one last seriously sheer moment before dressing her baby bump (which, despite speculation, is yet to appear)? If so, we don’t blame her. Her curves were her best accessory as she made her way down the red carpet in her sexy, high fashion attire. If this really is a glimpse of what we can expect from Kim’s maternity style, she’s bound to rock a slew of edgy looks, something she’s definitely did during her first pregnancy.
During a teaser for this season’s KUWTK, which aired after Sunday’s midseason finale, Kim was shown sharing the big news with her sister Khloé. ‘I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant’, she says with excitement.
Kim and Kanye faced fertility challenges trying to conceive their second child, which have been documented on the show. After struggling to get pregnant, the couple turned to IVF, allowing the TV show’s cameras to follow Kim on her visits to the fertility specialist.
