The fab four reunite without the jeans, but with a bundle of joy
There are many famous reunions that we eagerly anticipate: Kate and Leo, Jennifer Lawrence and Kris Jenner and, of course, the Sisterhood of the Travelling pants. The latter occurs every so often and makes us all warm and fuzzy inside when we see the get togethers on Instagram. The film was released in 2005, so a good 12 years later it’s a joy to see that they really are a Sisterhood, especially after watching it as a young girl who wanted her own Sisterhood! Now it’s 2018 and America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn have reunited once more for one super exciting reason.
America Ferrera announced her pregnancy to ring in the new year and just a day later her girls were there for support that can only come from a Sisterhood built on a pair of jeans – wait no, the real sisterhood is more than that! No stress deciding on godparents, she’s got three pretty great ones sat either side of her, and she even used the post as an opportunity to push the new Time’s Up initiative launched by women in Hollywood. Captioning the post ‘Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood. We’ve got work to do for the next generation. Let’s get to it. #TIMESUP’.
Showing there’s strength in numbers, Amber Tamblyn reposted the image with the caption ‘Didn’t think anything could beat starting off the new year with the #TIMESUP Legal Defense Fund initiative yesterday, but then…’.
The adorable snap on America’s instagram gained 229k likes and multiple comments exclaiming ‘My heart!’ and other well wishes, with everyone overjoyed at this latest reunion. The girls have all gone on to do different projects over the years, with Blake starring in Gossip Girl, big budget movies like The Town and marrying her equally attractive and funny other half Ryan Reynolds.
Meanwhile Alexis Bledel grew up in Stars Hollow with Gilmore Girls and later returned last year for A Year in the Life. Let’s face it, they ndividually and collectively warm our hearts year after year.
The second movie ended happily but fans always wondered what happened after, and the girls willingly oblige our lovee of the Sisterhood with fond reminders on their friendship. The true meaning of #friendshipgoals right there. As this is America’s first child, we’re looking forward to seeing more of her glowing pregnancy and also what the Sisterhood come up with for her baby shower!
