Following in the fashionable footsteps of Mila Kunis and Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence has been announced as the new star of the French fashion house.
Fresh from her Hunger Games debut, the 22-year-old was handpicked by Dior’s new creative director, Raf Simons to be the face of the iconic Miss Dior handbag line. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Miss Lawrence next year, not just on the big screen, but also in glossies and billboards with her Dior campaign hitting mag pages in March 2013.
Jennifer is the first celebrity to be chosen to represent the brand by Raf since he took over the reigns at Dior this season. So what makes Jen so special? “Like the whole world, I first discovered Jennifer Lawrence as a young action hero,” he said. “Her youth and classic beauty, but also the feminine strength and complexity that she can portray at such a young age are, for me, very unique and very appealing.”
