Just in time for the holiday season, Banana Republic’s Anna Karenina-inspired collection, complete with faux-fur and lace, is now available both online and in stores.
Inspired by 19th-century Russia the store collaborated with Jacqueline Durran, the designer who dressed Keira Knightly and Jude Law for the film, to create a retro, ladylike collection.
“Small touches such as lace and fur embellishments portray a classic sense of luxury without requiring a full look that may feel ‘costumey’” Durran told InStyle. “Even if incorporating vintage pieces, you shouldn’t do a full 19th-century look. Instead, mix and match with more modern pieces to keep it current.”
Based upon Keira Knightley’s and Jude Law’s recently released film the 76-piece set features pieces from lace sheath dresses and chic blazers to faux-fur accessories and vintage inspired jewels.
