From Stella McCartney and Nicholas Kirkwood to Alexa Chung and Cara Delevingne London’s Savoy Hotel was filled with Britain’s crème de la crème of fashion last night (Nov. 27) for the British Fashion Awards 2012.
Beating out Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou for the coveted Designer of the Year Award and Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Mulberry for the Designer Brand Award Stella McCartney, wearing an embellished-trim strapless jumpsuit from her line, was last night’s big winner taking home two of the nights most prestigious awards.
Alexa Chung won her third consecutive British Style Award while Cara Delevingne, who walked in 31 shows in September and is currently the face of Chanel, took home the Model Award.
Other winners at the Awards hosted by Gemma Arterton and Nick Grimshaw included Nicholas Kirkwood for best accessories designer and emerging talent winners Sophie Hulme in accessories, J.W. Anderson for ready-to-wear and Jonathan Saunders for menswear.
