Alexandra Shulman At Topshop January 31st

Listen up coffee addicts! This January 31st, you will all get the opportunity to meet the fabulous British Vogue Editor Alexandra Shulman at Topshop’s flagship store in London!

Alexandra will be giving an hour-long talk in which she will be discussing her position at Vogue, the fashion industry and also her new novel, ‘Can We Still Be Friends’. The critically-acclaimed book tells the tale of “three different girls, with very different paths ahead.” Set in the 1980s, the story deals with the daily lives of women in a time of social change and nascent feminism.

A Sussex University graduate, Alexandra Schulman is a powerful force in the world of fashion journalism. However, she doesn’t fit into the typical “Ice Queen” mould that one might expect of fashion editors today.

Speaking of her book, Alexandra explains ” I specifically wanted to write about very ordinary things: it wasn’t magic-realism, it wasn’t historical, it wasn’t fantasy, it wasn’t extreme – or about Vogue – it was the daily detail that I was interested in.”

Topshop has announced that as of this week, the public has the chance to submit questions for the editor, via the high street brand’s social media platforms.
