Trend Alert: It’s All About Stripes

January 28, 2013

Trends often go round in cycles and stripes are one trend that are back on our fashion radar. Taking us right through S/S13 to A/W13, designers like Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Dolce & Gabbana are going crazy for monochrome lines.

While head-to-toe looks might work on the catwalk, it’s a little overwhelming in real life. To avoid the jailbird look, stick to statement blouses, T-shirt style dresses or the classic Breton tee for a chic Parisian feel. And let’s face it, stripes look good on pretty much everyone – they elongate the legs, add definition around the waist and work with prints and block colours.

Start the season with these striped must-haves: doesn’t matter if they’re black or white, green or blue, red or yellow…
