Diane Von Furstenberg Fall’13 Fashion Show (NYFW)
Earlier this week, we were treated to the return of Diane Von Furstenberg, and her Fall 2013 runway show. Von Furstenberg is currently the creative director for her clothing brand, making this comeback even more of a personal success. And oh boy, what a return it was!
With floating maxis, vibrant pinks and red, and bold prints, it is clear that this 66 year old’s A/W 13 collection was inspired by her heyday, the 1970s. We also saw a lot of low v-necks, some bell-sleeves and fringed boho-bags.
The show was opened by current it-girl Cara Delevingne, wearing a red, black & white printed wrap-dress. Our favourite looks included a chiffon, deep v-necked electric blue dress with bell sleeves, and a black & white patterned, bat-winged jumpsuit; the latter modelled by the gorgeous London model, Jourdan Dunn.
In notes on this current collection, Diane Von Furstenberg wrote that the DVF woman “is the rockstar and muse of her own life”. It is clear that from such a great New York Fashion Week show, Diane Von Furstenberg is once again the rockstar and muse of her own life.
