Love Actually: Keira Knightley marries in custom Chanel
British star Keira Knightley tied the knot with her indie rocker fiancé James Righton over the weekend. The wedding was held at the town hall in Mazan, a sleepy French village, and was a decidedly low-key affair, with just 11 guests looking on as Keira and James said ‘I do’.
The 28-year-old actress and face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, shunned traditional wedding gowns, instead walking down the aisle in a Chanel boucle jacket and a floaty, ballerina-style frock. She wore an ethereal crown of flowers, a simple pendant and a pair of pink flat pumps, while Klaxons star James was equally eclectic in his dark suit, skinny tie and matching shades. Keira literally skipped to the waiting wedding car – however it wasn’t the usual blacked-out limo, but rather a battered, run-down Renault Clio. Props to Keira for keeping it so cool!
The reception was held at Keira’s £3 million family estate in the south of France, where more guests, including Keira’s bestie Sienna Miller, were expected to toast the happy couple with more than 120 bottles of wine.
