September must-see: Carine Roitfeld documentary

Mademoiselle C

It’s what we’ve all been waiting for – the tell-all film about the world of Vogue Paris and former editor Carine Roitfeld. Directed by Fabien Constant, Mademoiselle C. takes you on a professional and personal walk with Carine as she launches her new magazine CR Fashion Book and becomes a grandmother for the first time.

Featuring guest appearances by the likes of Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cate Blanchett, Alexander Wang and more of the who’s who of fashion, there’s no doubting Carine’s worldwide legacy. “Carine is my ideal woman. She’s become a legend in her own time,” says Tom Ford, while Carine herself reveals, “[My] fantasy went into my fashion photos.”

The next The September Issue? A Devil Wears Chanel spin-off perhaps? Whatever it is, we can’t wait to see what it’s really like to be Ms. Roitfeld. Mademoiselle C. will hit US screens on September 11, just before the last day of New York Fashion Week. Brits will be able to see the flick at London’s Cine Lumiere on September 11, or pick up the DVD on September 30.
