Isabel Marant’s collection for H&M is major!
Mark your calendars, ladies and gents; November 14th Isabel Marant for H&M goes live. Daydreaming of what the line would offer has been a common theme since we heard about the collaboration, and now that the lookbook has surfaced, the collection is better than we could have imagined. Marant’s signature urban bohemian high-fashion aesthetic has met low-priced pieces in the form of embellished boucle jackets, colorful skinnies, slouchy fringed booties, and menswear inspired outerwear. As if you weren’t already buzzing with excitement, for the first time ever, the talented Marant will dip her toes into menswear and children’s clothes too.
The Parisian line’s chic appeal has been very well represented, and its fans and loyal customer base will not be disappointed. After swooning over all of the images in the lookbook, it seems as though Isabel Marant looked to some of her past collections to gain inspiration for the H&M line, as she revisits her roomy wool coats, colorful knit hoodies, ruched metallic mini dresses, tie-dyed and printed pants as well as cropped jackets. The line feels very contemporary, which is captured in all of the beautiful detailing, while still owning an air of effortless Parisian glamour.
Marant says, “I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality.”
