Kate Moss to launch a new collection for Topshop come Spring/Summer 2014
Whether you missed out on the Kate Moss for Topshop collections back in 2007 through 2010, or you were first in line to purchase every piece – we’ve got fantastic news for you: the supermodel is teaming up with the British retailer to unveil another collection, which is expected to be in stores come April. The reestablished line can be attributed to Moss’ longstanding friendship with Sir Phllip Green, as it has been reported that the duo decided to give the collaboration another go while vacationing together this past summer.
Kate expressed her eagerness, “I am very excited to create a new collection that bears my name. Now more than ever, with London being at the forefront of fashion as it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop,” she continued, “I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team.”
It seems the feeling is mutual, as Sir Philip Green mentioned that he is “personally thrilled” that Kate would be coming back to Topshop. The collection will hold forty pieces that will span across contemporary womenswear, accessories, and footwear. As Kate Moss has remained the quintessential British fashion icon for over two decades, her creative direction is what will be exciting for the designers and consumers alike. The line will be inspired by Kate’s personal wardrobe and aims to be a celebration of British fashion.
The collection is set to be sold online and in forty countries worldwide, with an emphasis on breaking into Chinese markets, as well as emerging markets in India, Brazil, and potentially Mexico. Green added that Topshop will set up flash stores, which will only be open for a few weeks, to house the much sought-after line.
Start saving your money, girls, this is one set you don’t want to miss.
