Karl Lagerfeld’s first London store to open on Regent Street come March 2014
Here at Your Coffee Break we were filled with glee when we heard that Karl Lagerfeld is set to open his eponymous label’s first London store on Regent Street in March 2014! The Karl Lagerfeld label, which is aimed to target younger shoppers through its more reasonably priced items than Chanel and Fendi, is capitalizing on their tech-savvy demographic with highly modernized amenities. The fabulous new boutique will be Karl Lagerfeld’s largest location at 2,700 square feet, featuring in-store iPads & dressing room photo booths complete with exclusive Karl Lagerfeld filters. Other tech conveniences available include searching inventory, watching branded content, sharing on social media, and a digital guestbook allowing customers to leave messages for the designer via the store’s iPads. That’s right, a message directly from you to The Kaiser of Fashion himself.
The décor will be fabulous, every inch as chic as the fashion. Keeping with the theme of impressive interiors, the store will feature a sleek black and white color scheme, adorned with walls of lights, mirrors and line drawings of Karls infamous silhouette. As well as carrying mens and women’s ready-to-wear & accessories, it is rumored that the store will include a section for Choupette merchandise, akin to the other boutique locations.
Pier Paolo Righi, the CEO of Karl Lagerfeld, told Women’s Wear Daily, “Opening on Regent Street provides us with an exceptional opportunity to position our brand in this important market. London is one of the world’s leading cities when it comes to retail and this location offers a unique brand mix. Our London presence will be a fantastic representation of our brand’s aesthetic, and it showcases our cool, accessible-luxe collections in a cutting-edge environment.”
