Cath Kidston opens worlds largest store in London
It takes a lot to catch our attention in the morning; our main concerns being checking emails and consuming a huge cup of coffee (cough, 3 cups). However, we were amongst the bemused commuters and passersby’s watching in surprise as a giant present, sat in the middle of Marble Arch, was unwrapped to unveil eight London taxis last week.
To celebrate the glorious news about the world’s largest Cath Kidston flagship store opening last week, the brand is treating lucky Londoners to free trips anywhere within Zone 1-2 if you’re lucky enough to catch one of the pretty printed cabs.
The new flagship store in Piccadilly consists of three floors of beautiful homeware, accessories, fashion and childrenswear – a world away from the brand’s humble beginnings as a tiny shop in Holland Park twenty years ago.
Kidston, founder and creator, spoke about her happiness, announcing, “I never imagined that we would have over 100 stores across the UK, Europe and Asia. We are so excited about the London flagship launch and delighted that we have found this perfect landmark site in Piccadilly. It fits our brand perfectly.”
