Village England’s handbags add a touch of class and luxury to your winter style
There’s nothing more exciting than discovering new fabulous labels, and one we’re championing at the moment is Village England – the handbag brand that’s bursting with traditional English charm.
Born from a love for well made, quality accessories with real personality, founders Eddie Knevett, formerly an accessories buyer for Harrods, and Julia Dobson, a one time senior manager for luxury labels Bally and Celine, used their expertise to create understated handbags that are sure to last and look amazing, season after season.“For us, the Village England customer is someone who is interested in style, but not obsessed with fashion.” Knevett explained. “She is looking for the inherent value in a product – something that will not only look great but also make life just a little easier.”
The duo took the colour palette of the English countryside landscape as their inspiration, and translated that into their accessories – an earthy palette of browns, reds, greens and blacks are both traditional, and completely wearable.
Prices range from £135 to £395 – more accessible than most luxury accessory brands currently selling in the UK. “I want to deliver a luxury product, but at an everyday luxury price,” says Dobson. “Our focus is on the end consumer, someone who understands style and quality.”
Since they landed in our office, Your Coffee Break Editor Charlotte has been inseparable from her “The Chipping Camden “ tote. As well as being roomy enough for all the daily essentials; it’s a bag that will see you through from day to evening. For a dinkier option, the Ickford cross body bag is a dream in sumptuous dark brown leather. We’d team it with a pair of skinny jeans, brogues and a chunky knit sweater for adding a dose of chic to a winter ensemble. Check out the magazine’s instagram account for winter style snaps.
