Become a getaway goddess with Lilylola

Bikini season is nearly upon us… cue frantic spray tans, squats and salads.

How to become a beach goddess

This summertime sadness is however balanced out with one of our favourite things EVER – swimwear shopping.

So of course we looked no further than luxury beachwear boutique Lilylola, who offer a collection of beautifully cut and embellished bikinis and cover-ups, stylish accessories and handmade Italian sandals.

Their collection of designers includes swimwear royalty Emamo alongside exclusive luxury brands like Chio Di Stefania D, Nicole Olivier, PassoJazz and Luli Fama.

With so much to choose from we decided to bring you our pick of the savviest swimwear buys – versatile items that will take you from beach to bar in the twist of a lipstick!

The Maxi

This chic cream silk print maxi dress by Chio Di Stefania D exudes style. Wear it over your bikini around the pool or glam it up with heels and accessories for evening drinks.

Lace Shorts

Lace is huge news this season and has graced catwalks all over the world. These Emamo mauve lace shorts can be worn with a cute top and sandals for a lazy daytime stroll or with a lace shirt and this Chio sequin bikini for an on trend evening look.

The Chio Di Stefania D Lime Halter Neck Bikini is perfect for an afternoon in the sun. Add the standout matching Backless Dress, oversized shades and killer heels and you have one sophisticated party outfit.

We can see ourselves dancing the night away to steel drums in this show-stopping ensemble and can’t wait to get our hands on it!

The one-piece

If you’re wanting a bit more coverage, try this Nicole Olivier Floral Monokini. The super feminine print is perfect for a demure holiday look. Adding the matching sarong and a floral headband to this look makes it perfect for sipping bahama mamas and watching the sunset over the ocean.

The patterned bikini

Beach bohemia is bang on trend this season, hippie prints have been seen all over the runway. Pucci, Matthew Williamson and Isabel Marant just to name a few have been all about these glorious printed patterns.

For our final holiday look we are seriously feeling this Ondademar Triangle Bikini.

Imagine how amazing it would look paired with the matching sarong, the Ondademar classic beach bag and these Emanuela Caruso crystal and gold leather sandals – it would be a great outfit for casual shopping or exciting beachside exploration.

And there you have it – your summer wardrobe is now complete – and the best thing? As many of the designers are exclusive to Lilylola you won’t see your bikini on everyone else.

We spoke to founder Bridget King, who was always more excited by bright Spring/Summer collections than anything Autumn/Winter had to offer; “for me it was an obvious decision to indulge my love of the sun and immerse myself in wonderful colours 365 days of the year,” and we are so glad she did!

Lilylola was born out of a desire to find amazing swimwear and bring it to the UK, working with designers that create high quality, luxurious pieces that you won’t see anywhere else.

This is something Bridget always looks out for when meeting designers, “I love to hear their passion for their art and to understand what it is that inspires them. Without that passion there is no creation and it becomes the same as anything you can get on the high street”.

Lilylola is the epitome of luxury, the jewels, gems and embroidery are predominantly done by hand in Italy and all the cuts are very flattering to real women. All we need now is a plane ticket out of gloomy London!
