Are you ladies ready for Autumn or is it just us? If you are as accessory mad as we are, you’ll know that its time to stock up on some new statement pieces to go with your fall uniform and that new MaxMara coat.
Let’s chat about Vamp London’s latest collections; featuring silver bangles in one range, and luxurious silver, rose and yellow gold rings in the latest Sahara collection. All in delectable designs and at pretty purse friendly prices, these outfit-making pieces are to die for. An edgy brand bursting with energy and new unique designs, Vamp London is the new kid on the block and your one stop for luxurious pieces. Your Coffee Break sat down for a coffee with Vamp’s brand manager Stephanie Morton, to learn more about our current obsession.
Stephanie tells us that the brand is inspired by anything from ‘fashion, places, traditional jewellery concepts, current trends or just really small details in art or on objects that capture our attention.’ And the inspiration is evident in the collection titles alone: Sahara, Masquerade, Symbolic, Entwined. Each with a powerful meaning and lustworthy pieces. ‘Jewellery as an item carries a real sentiment and people will have an emotional attachment too. Our symbolic collection takes this to the next level and each symbol reflects a different sentiment, mood, hope or aspiration.’
The Sahara collection features rings all named after different winds in the Sahara desert, including the mesmerising baguette cut diamond. ‘Sahara was to be a decedent ring collection so we decided to make the baguette cut stones a key feature to achieve a really high end look but without the diamond price tag!’ Stephanie tells YCB. Based on Arabic jewellery traditions, the collection has a goddess like feel, capturing the edge of Vamp London with the strength and individuality of the wearer; ‘the winds of the Sahara being a strong force with a decided direction they seemed perfectly poetic for a strong independent woman.’ One of the Vamp London team’s favourite pieces from the collection is the Simoom crossover ring in yellow gold, which we’re loving! The YCB team are also coveting the bar rings for understated luxury come day or night.
Vamp London pieces are not your average high street jewellery rings or bracelets. They work hard to stay on top of the trends, at an attainable price point but with an unmistakeable tag of luxury. Most women will either wear just silver jewellery, just yellow or just rose gold and feel that they couldn’t possibly mix and wear a silver bangle because their engagement ring is yellow gold. In how jewellery is worn now we are starting to see women feeling much more comfortable mixing metals across their jewellery and on the market there are more pieces becoming available that with use different colour metals in one piece – the look being beautiful and creating amazing contrasts and striking looks. The introduction of rose gold and yellow gold is one of their top predictions for AW14; mixing metals across pieces or in individual pieces is going to be big. We’ll take a piece in every colour then! Although Vamp would clearly profess their jewellery and brand is the best in many ways they are not shy to admit their love for other incredible designers out there such as Astley Clarke, Cara Amorim, Annoushka and Shaun Leane. It’s clear you have to have an eye for jewellery, how can you work passionately with a product you don’t really have the passion for? Vamp London certainly have passion for their pieces and it reflects in their enthusiasm for the brand and jewellery in general. Just asking them to choose a favourite piece of jewellery was a tough call for the team!
Currently operating a successful e-commerce site, Vamp London also sell through a variety of boutiques across the UK, but a standalone store is certainly on the cards for the future. With a mother new collection launching this year and new designs constantly being added to current collections, Vamp London is really making its mark in the jewellery world.
