The hunt for the perfect sundress is over
With spring in full swing, it’s time to pack away the winter warmers in favour of a lighter and brighter wardrobe. During our hunt for the perfect sundress, we stumbled upon British independent label Allium B, and boy (err…girl) are we glad we did.
Founded in March 2012 by frock-loving sisters Clare and Mary Burgess, Allium B designs for women who love wearing dresses and are confident in their own style. Rather than draw inspiration from the ever-changing catwalk trends, Clare and Mary design timeless dresses that can be worn and loved for more than one season.

The Shopping Trip
A definite favourite and best seller is the Eliza (£95.00). Made from very fine cotton, this sundress is perfect for staying cool in the warmer months. The delicate Liberty fabric gives the dress a slightly 70’s feel. There are seven patterns available in the range, with colours ranging from vivid blues and violets to summery yellows and reds, there is bound to be a shade you’ll fall in love with.

We also love that the Cecilia dress is so simple and clean cut and as a result is can be dressed up or down. While it is perfect for the office, it can also be dressed down with a cute pair of leather sandals and a touch of lipstick for the perfect date night outfit.

For a sundress fit for any garden party, the Orla is the dress for you. Made with the same gorgeous Liberty cotton as the Eliza, the Orla dress is cinched at the waist with a tie, which we love as it is a flattering style. This sundress is the ultimate feminine dress and we will definitely be reaching this come wedding season.

“Find a style you love and make it your own. Fashion has lots of rules, about what you should and shouldn’t wear but many of the most stylish women we know have their own style. If the dress fits well, you will always look beautiful, just add a smile.”
