10 must-buy sandals for summer

When summer hits and you start wearing less layers, you want to make sure every piece packs a punch. Here at Your Coffee Break, we’ve been all about updating our wardrobe with a few fun, key pieces, namely shoes. Nothing amps up our closet of sundresses and white pants more than a great sandal, and lately we’ve been all about these 10 pairs from Zooshoo. All together, they can take you from work to the beach to that garden wedding next month. So put your old, tattered sandals in the back of your closet and step up your game, no pun intended.

1. Blue Cut-outs

Let the shoes do all of the talking when it comes to wearing these bad boys out. Between the gorgeous blue, the awesome cut-outs, and the fun laces, these sandals are all you need for a night out on the town. Skip the jewelry and grab your cutest clutch to go with these showstoppers.

2. Tan Sandal

If you’ve been looking for a basic sandal that will go with everything, look no further than these Steve Madden tan flats. You can slip them on whether you’re going to a nice hotel pool or a quick run to a nearby store. Throw them on with either cut off shorts and a loose tee or a bright dress—with these, anything goes.

3. Wine Strappy Sandals

While wine may be an unexpected colour for summer, it still gives you that sultry vibe without being as harsh as black. Pair this with a cream or tan dress for any nighttime event or with black pants and a simple top for a day at work. And since the colour is on the darker side, you’ll be able to wear these into September even as the weather starts to change.

4. Chunky heels

When it comes to summer work shoes, you want something sturdy and neutral, that can go with anything but still keep you cool on the hottest days. These sandals with a wooden heel and easy velcro closure are great for when you’re running out the door and need something that you know will always look good.

5.  Neon Pop

If you’re going on a beach holiday, it’s nice to have a pair of shoes that make your sunkissed tan pop. These nude sandals with a strip of neon yellow (and one of faux snake skin) will give you that summery glow while also being trendy and comfy enough to wear all day.

6. Embellished Gladiators

Take a cue from the website and wear your brightest, most fun nail polish when you sport these embellished sandals. While the front features tan straps with jeweled details, the back has an iridescent snakeskin heel that takes these to a new level.

7. Crisscross straps

If you were to only buy one pair of sandals this summer, these should be it. The taupe color, the wooden heel, and the woven straps make these shoes great for almost any occasion that will come your way this summer. Plus they’ll look great dressed up or down in the spring and fall too, so you’ll be getting a ton of bang for your buck.

8. Black buckle

When you still want to look casual but a little bit more put together, these black sandals will do the trick. Made with vegan(!) leather, you can feel and look good while wearing them.

9. Pretty in Pink

The perfect mix of girly and edgy, these studded heels come in one of the best colours of the season, in my opinion. This pink-nude is neutral enough that you can wear it with pretty much everything but without being overly expected. Think date night, cocktail party or fancy Sunday brunch.

10. Open booties

The edgiest of the bunch, these work well in any casual office or even for a great dinner al fresco with friends. On a cooler night, pair these with ripped jeans a leather jacket for a rough and tough look that still has some sass.
