This weekend, The Century Club and Farblack Limited hosted the 2016 Women’s edition of The Grooming Room, an exclusive stop offering a range of pampering treatments to invitees, in between London Fashion Week presentations and catwalk shows. En effet, Louboutins may look fab, but a girl can only be on her feet for so long!

Grooming Room at London Fashion Week

Grooming Room Metro Cupcakes

The Grooming Room was a bit like Harry Potter’s room of requirement. Need a blowdry or a massage between fashion shows? Fancy a manicure or professional makeup artist on standby? All you need to do is think hard enough, and the treatment of your dreams materialises, just like magic (or like someone has done some serious mind-reading!).

Upon entering the Grooming Room, I was met with a water dispenser filled with prosecco, creamy Metro cupcakes, and endless copies of Candid Magazine. I had, it appears, stepped into the ultimate Zen-den. They had everything a gal could possibly want, and enough canapés to get you through an entire fashion season! Here are some other unexpected delights I found in this lavishly equipped room of requirement:

The WtR London Collection

WtR London design anything from gilded notebooks to lamps (they were stunning, and yes, I did seriously think about trying to nab a lamp before leaving!) and I was seriously wowed by their beautiful new fashion collection for luxe-loving Londoners.

The WtR brand embodies the spirit of modernity, individuality, and effortless elegance. Their leading lady (you!) is described as someone refined, tenacious, and feminine. These were my favourite looks this season, and I might as well tell you right now, I have my eye on the Marylebone Collection (finders keepers!).

Nailberry

Nailberry is a favourite among celebs for luscious nails and chemical-free treatments. Their special formula, L’oxygéné, contains no harmful chemicals and was formulated without animal testing, making Nailberry a go-to brand for environmentalists and ethical fashionistas.

The Grooming Room Women’s Edit had a lovely little stand with a manicurist from Nailberry, ready to bring a serious pop of colour to the nails of TGR attendees.

Sassoon Salon

Not only are Sassoon the experts when it comes to giving your hair that star-like, catch-me-if-you-can quality, but they also adapt your blowdry to your individual style. What that means? You walk into The Grooming Room wearing a certain outfit, and when you leave, you leave with a hairstyle that perfectly complements your look. You are also given personalised recommendations based on your hair type from the pros at Sassoon. My hair is now deeply thankful (and deeply conditioned).

Gold Collagen

The lovely ladies at Gold Collagen use a special, scarily sophisticated machine to assess the collagen levels in your skin. They later analyse the results and issue you a personalised recommendation based on your collagen levels, age, and lifestyle (and remember, don’t bother lying about having gone to the gym this morning- these ladies know everything!). Their products work from the inside out, and provide long term solutions to battle ageing, and unhappy skin! The Grooming Room is essentially filled with experts who, if they combined forces, could probably turn you into a real life catwalk model.

Cadenzza Collection

The Cadenzza collection, owned by Swarovski, offers handpicked collections of luxury fashion jewellery from all over the world. With over 100 years of expertise in the jewellery industry, Cadenzza have a sharp eye and a great range of international designers in their portfolio! As a long standing jewellery aficionada, I can testify that these collections are stunning.

OLEUM Massage

To top off what was already an excellent event brimming with treats of every kind, The Grooming had their very own massage corner, with professional masseuses from OLEUM attending to your body’s every stiff muscle and nerve. The verdict? Relaxing to the extreme. I nearly fell asleep, and I when the massage ended I felt as though I was in a deep relaxation induced trance. Or perhaps, I really did dream this all up!
