Cannes Film Festival celebrity sightings: The looks we can’t get enough of
One of the most glamorous events of the year, Cannes Film Festival, past and present, is a constant source of fashion inspiration. We are always on the look out for our favourite celebs, and here we’ve got our fave looks of Cannes so far:
It’s only day one of Cannes for Kendall Jenner but she has already had several outfits which we can’t wait to copy, stat. Our favourite is the gorgeous white jumpsuit, the Havana jumpsuit by Emilia Wickstead, that she wore at the Magnum beach party. Accessorised to perfection as always, Kendall paired this chic jumpsuit with matching white strappy heels and a pair of classic cat eye sunnies, and natural beachy waves.
Queen of Cannes, Blake Lively always looks incredible on the red carpet and this year is no different despite being pregnant! Blake’s Valentino dress, made of a golden velvet, was super flattering and looked wonderful with her natural golden complexion. Turquoise earrings and a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo’s completed the look with a pop of colour. This is Blake’s fifth show-stopping outfit and the festival only opened yesterday, we can’t wait to see the rest of her looks, as well as Café Society in which she stars alongside Kristen Stewart, another Cannes darling, and Jesse Eisenburg.
We can always count on Victoria Beckham for chic style inspiration, and for Cannes Film Fest she looked incredibly elegant in one of her own designs. Wearing a monochrome jumpsuit from her AW16 collection, Victoria rocked the look with her signature smokey makeup and a messy up do, which is quite different from the glitz and the glamour of the normal red carpet, came as an understatedly glamourous surprise. After all, there was a reason she was our favourite Spice Girl!
Although we don’t know yet if Gigi will join her sister and bestie Kendall, we can always count on one of the sisters to show us how to do red carpet glamour properly. Bella Hadid looked flawless in a Roberto Cavalli gown designed by Peter Dundas. Dripping in de Grisogono diamonds, the only thing that shone brighter were Bella’s exquisitely highlighted cheekbones.
Jessica Chastain is a classic Hollywood starlet and always dresses to impress, for the first red carpet of the festival she showed off her amazing figure in a beautiful Armani Prive strapless dress in what is clearly the colour of the season, a bright, almost sunshine yellow. The Piaget jewellery completed Jessica’s look, with her signature red hair in a long tousled bob.
Another star of Woody Allen’s highly anticipated film, Café Society, Kristen Stewart brought her own edgy style to Cannes, obviously in another Chanel combination, pairing a white pencil skirt with a simple cropped t shirt, and a pair of Christian Louboutin Pigalle Folies Marble pumps. We love how she finished off the look with layered jewellery, and how she was true to her signature grungy makeup and her new platinum hair.
Now we can’t wait to see what other looks our fashion favourites will bring to this year’s Cannes Festival!
